You Can Help
There
are many ways you can help in our
ministry to Hispanics, even if you don’t
speak Spanish (unless specified.) Read
through the following list and call our
church office if you find an area you
would like to help.
English-as-a-Second-Language (ESL) and
GED Classes
Teacher—training offered
Child Care—for small children of
students attending ESL
Help Children with Homework—for children
of students attending ESL
Assistant—help set up for classes, copy
materials, etc
Tutoring Ministry
Tutor and assist with homework
Assist—keeping of records, contacting
tutors and parents, etc
Recreation—lead in games/sports,
supervise youth leaders, etc.
Devotional—lead devotional time or help
youth do so
Other
Classes
Basic Computer Course Instructor
Citizenship Course Instructor (Course
deals with American history to the
revolution, US government, and US
Constitution)
GED Instructor
Hispanic Community Connection (Must
be Bilingual)
Serve as liaison to local
agencies—contact when needed
Gather contact information from local
agencies as needed
Assist Hispanics as needed
Provide a ride to an appointment when
needed
Serve as an interpreter when needed
Provide translation of documents as
needed
