Hello, Amigos!

The Lord has blessed us at First Baptist with members who demonstrate their love to their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ by the way they seek to reach out to all people in Mayfield. In recent years, our community has been inundated by the influx of Hispanics. FBC members have not wasted time in seeking to win them for the Lord.

But before winning them for the Lord, our members realized that there were needs to be met within the Hispanic community. First of all, Hispanic people coming to the US face language and cultural barriers, not to mention discrimination and prejudice. Life becomes very difficult as they try to adapt to their new home.

FBC Mayfield has responded by creating a new Hispanic Ministry with various community outreach ministries, actively seeking to meet some of the Hispanics needs while at the same time proclaiming the gospel of our Lord.

This ministry exists:

·         To bring Hispanic non-believers to the knowledge of salvation in Jesus Christ

·         To lead the believers to a new understanding and appreciation of God and of His work

·         To guide believers to demonstrate their love and gratitude to Him in commitment and obedience to His word

·         To encourage believers to live out their love for God by serving one another

·         To encourage believers to live out their obedience to God by reaching out to those in need
