Senior Adult Ministry

Regardless of age, there is something special for you at First Baptist Mayfield. Our Senior Adult programs provide a wholesome atmosphere for developing genuine relationships and discovering God’s design for each one.

 Ø Helping Hands
Volunteers in this ministry give of their time and talents to assist members with various tasks around their homes. This offers a service to our members, as well as blessings for those involved in the ministry.

 Ø Homebound
Monthly visits are made to senior adult members of our church and Sunday School who are no longer able to attend due to physical disabilities. The volunteers bring them current publications of S.S. Quarterlies, Open Windows, Mature Living and HomeLife.

 Ø Car Care Ministry
Assistance is available to aid First Baptist members who need help with minor car problems and repairs.

 Ø Charlie’s Angels
This is a low impact exercise class designed for senior adults. The classes meet each Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00-11:00 am. This offers an opportunity to affect lives physically, mentally, and socially. Others in the community are welcome to attend.

Ø Fellowships & Trips
Senior Adults meet at 8:30 am the third Thursday of each month at 7th Street Cafe to fellowship and have enjoy breakfast together.

Various trips are planned most months—some are one day trips—others are extended trips to various attractions in different states.

Senior Adults meet for a Fellowship Dinner the last Thursday of each month at 6 pm in Wilson Hall. An interesting speaker or program is planned for each meeting. Reservations for the dinner can be made by calling the church office.
