Why All These Problems?

James 1:1-8

* James identifies himself. (v.1)

* He is writing to us all. (v.1)

*James presents three important concepts. (vv.2-4)

-Trials = "peirasmos"

the idea of being tested

-Perfection

the concept of spiritual maturity

-Joy Jesus - Others - Yourself

* The question concerning lemons in our lives is not why but what!

* To make good choices, we need wisdom. (vv.5-8)

Wisdom is interpreting everyday experiences through God's perspective.

* One requirement to receive wisdom is faith. (v.6)
