In Everything Give Thanks

I Thessalonians 5:18

I. Thank God for prayer.

- He promises to answer. (Jeremiah 33:3)

- There is power in prayer. (James 5:16)

II. Thank God for pardon.

- from sin (I John 1:9; II Corinthians 5:17)

- from separation (John 5:24)

- from self (Galatians 2:20)

III. Thank God for peace.

- God's peace (Isaiah 26:3)

- from worry (Philippians 4:7)

IV. Thank God for problems.

- His grace is sufficient. (II Corinthians 12:9)

- They teach us about God and ourselves. (Psalm 119:67-68)

- They have a purpose. (Romans 8:28)
