Ezekiel 38 & 39

 

I. Overview of the Battle

            A. Israel will be attacked.  (Ezekiel 38:8-9; 18)

            B. The invading force will come from the north. (Ezekiel 38:15)

            C. They will be drawn by "hooks in jaws."  (Ezekiel 38:4)

            D. God alone will defeat them and prove Himself.  (Ezekiel 38:18,22,16,23; Ezekiel 39)

            E. The timing of the battle:

            A. Gog—leader of the coalition army

            B. Magog—Russia & probably China

            C. Rosh/Meshech/Tubal--Russian  references

            D. Persia—Iran

            E. Ethiopia—may include Sudan

            F. Libya

            G. Gomer—Germany

            H. Togarmah—Turkey

            I. Many people with you—Egypt, Syria, Lebanon

(talking about nations that may not have even existed at time of prophecy)
